Paolo Cingolani is a dancer specialized in the art of improvisation and instant composition. His work is characterized by a specific training on intuition as the first tool to create choreographies and text on stage. Since 2012 he’s a member of Allen’s Line company of Julyen Hamilton. As independent artist, Paolo has also dedicated to create performances with other artists, dancers, musicians and visual designers. In this freelance context, he has performed extensively through many countries (2005-2020). Since 2006 he has been teaching in schools, universities and festivals all around Europe.

About soundance festival berlin

The soundance festival berlin presents joint projects by dancers, choreographers, musicians and composers of the Berlin independent scene and invites international guest artists. As an impulse for the dialogue between the different genres, the festival presents a broad spectrum of artistic styles from contemporary dance to real-time music, from Post Butoh to New Jazz and improvisation – analog and electronic. Cross-generational, diverse works and formats between sound and movement in theater and urban space will be experienced by the audience. The soundance festival berlin was founded in 2017.
