Paloma Carrasco López is a musician, mover and teacher dedicated to free improvised music (cello, piano) and movement (contact improvisation and improvised dance). She is an important part of Madrid’s free improvisation scene since 2003 and has performed all over throughout Europe. Paloma has intensified her focus on interdisciplinary work since 2014. In 2017 she founded Escucha en Movimiento, a research project to explore and generate improvisation spaces to be horizontally shared among musicians and dancers: guided regular practice sessions, scenic performances and workshops.

About soundance festival berlin

The soundance festival berlin presents joint projects by dancers, choreographers, musicians and composers of the Berlin independent scene and invites international guest artists. As an impulse for the dialogue between the different genres, the festival presents a broad spectrum of artistic styles from contemporary dance to real-time music, from Post Butoh to New Jazz and improvisation – analog and electronic. Cross-generational, diverse works and formats between sound and movement in theater and urban space will be experienced by the audience. The soundance festival berlin was founded in 2017.
