Maria Ulvestad is a dance artist, choreographer and teacher based in Oslo, Norway. She works within the field of contemporary dance and performance art in public space. In her career, Maria has performed in pieces by several choreographers as well as collaborating with other artists in different interdisciplinary projects. She has a special interest for the natural and real expression manifested through a physical language, exploring the boundaries between the private and the public and the contrasts between the personal individual and the community. She experiments with the use of space and atmosphere in relation to the audience.
