Lisa Thomas is a performer, lecturer, educator, choreographer.
She is artistic director of SAAL FREI for improvisation and performance, founded in 2018 as a platform for interdisciplinary artistic improvisation, further education, laboratories and festival in Stuttgart. She is a member of the ensemble Instant PIG//Stuttgart and artistic director of the Altentanztheater Zartbitter /Festival VielFalten (Tanz- u. Theaterwerkstatt Ludwigsburg e.V.)

Artistic focus: live improvised performances and instant composition in collaboration with artists from music and visual arts.

Co-founder of the festival ImproVisions 2016/2017 and the series “Frei-Tag im PZ”.

About soundance festival berlin

The soundance festival berlin presents joint projects by dancers, choreographers, musicians and composers of the Berlin independent scene and invites international guest artists. As an impulse for the dialogue between the different genres, the festival presents a broad spectrum of artistic styles from contemporary dance to real-time music, from Post Butoh to New Jazz and improvisation – analog and electronic. Cross-generational, diverse works and formats between sound and movement in theater and urban space will be experienced by the audience. The soundance festival berlin was founded in 2017.
