Hsiao-Ting Lee is a professional contemporary dancer and performer from Taiwan. She studied a Somatic Movement B.A. and worked as a Somatic Movement teacher in Taiwan. In 2014 she moved to Germany to study dance at the Folkwang University of Arts.
In her work as a freelancer she creates unique performances that are influenced by Improvisation, Dance Theater and Somatic movement. By her improvisation performances with musicians, she explores freedom and equal communication that resolved in her own project Gugu Shan which performs in Germany since 2017.

The soundance festival berlin presents joint projects by dancers, choreographers, musicians and composers of the Berlin independent scene and invites international guest artists. As an impulse for the dialogue between the different genres, the festival presents a broad spectrum of artistic styles from contemporary dance to real-time music, from Post Butoh to New Jazz and improvisation – analog and electronic. Cross-generational, diverse works and formats between sound and movement in theater and urban space will be experienced by the audience. The soundance festival berlin was founded in 2017.
